Barbara works principally in silver using traditional techniques . Each piece of jewellery is a combination of circles and spheres designed to create a fleeting moment of dynamic motion. The shapes are geometric with rounded edges often burnished to contrast to the mainly brushed texture of the jewellery.
Barbara originally studied Maths at University this provided the interest in geometry and astronomy. But it was a course to make a Silver Ring that really fired her creativity, and she completed her Diploma in Jewellery Design and Techniques at City Lit in London. She now works from a studio in an old Victorian warehouse in West Hampstead, London.
